Market Data at BlackRock

Hansson & Larsson is contracted through its UK partner Zeiter Ltd to develop and maintain BlackRock's global market data platform as a part of the in-house development team. The platform handles hundreds of data feeds daily from all around the world. 

The job involves ongoing development in Perl 5.8, as well as maintaining and transitioning legacy Perl 5.6 jobs on Solaris to RedHat Linux platform. The platform is backed up by huge Sybase ASE databases, so writing and improving T-SQL stored procedures and statements is also required.
